Assessment & Treatment Planning
TRC services begin with a two-hour intake interview and a full clinical evaluation. The interview involves current and historical symptoms, medical, mental health, trauma, family/social, legal, and vocational history, risk assessment, and a formulation of the problem that emphasizes a client’s strengths and cultural background. The TRC Clinician conducts a needs assessment as treatment begins, which involves both case management and psychological, social, and emotional needs. The Clinician and the client then work together to develop a unique treatment plan.
Clinical Case Management
Clinical Case Management at MCC is a collaborative process that takes into account the client’s priorities and readiness to access help. This begins with a comprehensive assessment of the client’s needs, identification of available resources (such as legal services, housing, food, medical care, etc.), helping the client access them as needed, and remaining engaged over the service period. The TRC model includes clinical case management as a key component, as it allows clients to obtain support with practical needs that may be more important than engaging in mental health care.
Clients will receive comprehensive assessment, crisis intervention, case management, individual and group therapy, and substance abuse services.
